We have an immediate opening for a DETAILER in our Philadelphia office:

Create construction drawings with sections details, plans and elevations for shop usage within the parameters of the project estimate.
Create 3d models for setup drawings and exploded views to translate setup procedures in the field.
Identify and develop cost effective material selections and lighter weight materials.
Review construction methods and details before beginning the detailing process with team.
Attend kickoff meetings to discuss course of action to meet clients’ needs.
Identify and document critical hardware components for assemblages.
Organize drawing files, documents and misc. files in workstation and network drive.
Ability to work independently to solve typical engineering issues associated with parts interfaces and tolerances. Includes ability to specify components and develop cut sheets.
Ability to travel less than 5% of the work time.

Requirements include but are not limited to:

Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Solid Works
Associates Degree
3-5 years experience in the engineering of wood or metal fixture. Experience in acrylic, wood, metals, and special materials applications to design
Excellent communication skills
MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Outlook, and Internet
Experience with detailing/communication
