PHILADELPHIA, PA - Sparks, an award-winning global event marketing and custom retail fixture agency, today announced they took top honors at Event Marketer's 2008 Experiential Marketing Summit for their collaboration on the launch of GE Water's "World Water Tour."
Sparks, along with partner GE Water & Process Technologies, took first prize (the EX award) for Best Multi-Venue Event (B-to-B). The EX Awards is the only award program focused 100 percent on event marketing and judged entirely by brand-side marketers. This year's Ex Awards drew more than 700 entries from around the world, the most ever. Winners were announced at the annual gala dinner before an audience of 1000 industry colleagues in Chicago on April 21, 2008.
The GE Water World Water Tour is a series of water reuse and recycling seminars touring the world with proprietary three-day events that engage, educate and disseminate the specific GE Water message while reinforcing the corporate GE brand commitment of ecomagination. Working with Sparks, GE Water replaced 260 trade shows with this single proprietary event show program designed to: Educate audiences around the world about the global water scarcity crisis and the important role the industry plays in tackling this challenge; Build awareness for GE's full suite of water reuse systems.
