July 22, 2008 : Sparks Announces Code Ten "Giving Back" Results

Employees Drive Community Outreach Initiative

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Sparks, an award-winning global event marketing and custom retail fixture agency, announced today the results of its “Code Ten Giving Back” community service initiative, Organized, funded, and implemented entirely by Sparks employees, the program was developed -- according to the company’s website -- to encourage us to look beyond the “hustle and bustle of everyday business, take notice of the basic needs of those around us and identify an opportunity to make a difference.” Code Ten is the company’s mantra: 10 guiding principles that help define the spirit of every employee.

Teams from each Sparks facility – a total of 12 teams – individually selected charitable causes to target. Among the projects: Construction of picnic tables for a children's home, building a ramp for an elderly neighbor, sponsoring an art exhibit for elementary art students, distributing reusable biodegradable fabric bags to shoppers, preparing and serving meals to families with ill children, cleaning up local parks and collecting everything from cell phones to medical supplies to donate to charities and other organizations.

“I could not be more proud – of our employees and the entire Sparks organization. The innovation, enthusiasm, and incredible teamwork demonstrated throughout this project elevated it far beyond a simple community service effort,” said Sparks CEO Scott Tarte.
